Careers at BF Remodeling · Raleigh & the Triangle

Help Raleigh homeowners get their remodel right.

We're looking for a Remodeling Sales Representative and a Project & Operations Coordinator to help homeowners move from the first conversation to a well-run renovation. Join a local, family-owned business where clear expectations, careful details, and respect for the home matter at every step.

The quality of a remodel starts before the first tool comes out. It starts with how we listen, what we promise, and how well we follow through.

Role 01

Remodeling Sales Representative

Mission: Help homeowners make confident decisions — and help BF commit to the right projects with the right expectations.

What you'll own

  • 1Listen to the homeowner’s goals, priorities, budget, timing and daily-life needs; qualify fit with BF’s services and service area.
  • 2Guide consultations and explain the remodeling process in plain language, working with project leadership on feasibility, scope and estimates.
  • 3Prepare and present approved proposals; make inclusions, exclusions, allowances and next steps clear.
  • 4Keep lead notes and follow-up organized so every active conversation has a clear next action.
  • 5Hand off agreed scope, client priorities, selections, open decisions and risks to the project team.

What you bring

Strong listening and clear writing; organized follow-through; comfort discussing project investment honestly; sound judgment about when to ask the technical team. Experience in remodeling, construction, design or other consultative sales is valuable.

What good looks like

Homeowners understand what they are buying, commitments are realistic, follow-ups happen, and the project team receives a complete handoff.

In practice: A homeowner's wish list exceeds the budget. You explain the trade-offs and involve the team before promising a solution.

Role 02

Project & Operations Coordinator

Mission: Keep daily operations moving across active projects — schedules, communication, materials, subcontractor confirmations and outstanding decisions — so homeowners and the field team always know what happens next.

What you'll own

  • 1Keep the daily priority list, project schedules, task owners and due dates current so the team knows what needs attention.
  • 2Follow up on homeowner selections, supplier lead times, deliveries and trade availability; verify readiness before work is scheduled.
  • 3Keep homeowners and the team informed with clear updates, and flag delays early with their impact and next action.
  • 4Maintain current project documents and track approved scope changes, decisions and signatures.
  • 5Help organize punch lists, final details and project closeout.

What you bring

Reliable organization; calm, clear communication; confidence following up with different people; comfort with calendars, spreadsheets and project tools; willingness to verify details instead of guessing. Construction or project-administration experience is valuable.

What good looks like

Follow-up happens without repeated reminders, and project leadership can see what is on track, what is blocked and what needs a decision.

In practice: A material delivery slips before installation. You confirm the new date, alert project leadership, and help communicate the approved next steps to the homeowner.

Scope note: You'll coordinate with project leadership, who approve technical decisions, pricing, scope changes and schedule commitments.

How we work, every day

These standards shape how both roles operate — from the first conversation to final closeout.

1

Be honest about what’s possible.

Explain trade-offs and uncertainties. Never promise a price, start date or result without the right approval.

2

Close the loop.

Give every commitment a next step and follow through — even when the update is that we’re still working on it.

3

Respect the home and the people in it.

Consider daily routines, access, privacy and disruption. Treat clients, coworkers and trade partners with care.

4

Own the details.

Check the latest scope, selection and approval. Raise mistakes early and help resolve them.

5

Make the next person’s job easier.

Share useful notes, ask before guessing, and hand over complete information.

Tell us how you work
